X now allows AI-generated adult content

The social media network X has updated its policy to allow the sharing of AI-generated NSFW content with consent, to embrace sexual expression as a form of art while restricting access for minors and sensitive users.

Social media network X rules have been changed so that users can now officially share NSFW content made by AI with their permission, as long as it is clearly labeled.

Elon Musk‘s leadership conducted similar tests, hosting adult content in certain communities.

“We think that people should be able to make, share, and read sexual content as long as they agree to do so.” X’s new “adult content” policy affirms that sexual expression, whether written or shown, can be a valid form of art.

The policy says that we believe adults should be able to choose to interact with and create content that shows their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, even when those things have to do with sexuality.

We keep this freedom in check by limiting access to adult content for kids and adults who don’t want to see it.

Users can mark their posts as having sensitive media, which means that people under 18 or who haven’t given their birth dates can’t see that content.

X’s rules about violent content are similar, but the platform is very strict about not allowing content that is too bloody or shows sexual violence. Explicit threats or content that encourages or praises violence are still illegal.

X’s Decision to Allow Graphic Content

The reason X decided to allow graphic content was so that users could share relevant photos and videos and take part in discussions about current events.

Even though X has never officially banned porn, these new rules could make it easier for adult content-focused services to pop up, giving X a chance to compete with services like Only Fans and make more money.

This would assist Musk in achieving his goal of making X an “everything app” in China, similar to WeChat.

According to internal company documents used in a 2022 report, about 13% of posts on the platform had adult content.

This number has probably gone up, especially since there are so many porn bots on X.
