Vodafone, Google Expand AI Collaboration to Boost Europe, Africa Growth

Vodafone uses Google Cloud’s AI platform, which is designed to work best for companies.

Vodafone, a British company, and Alphabet’s Google have strengthened their strategic relationship with a new, ten-year, billion-dollar deal that will bring Google’s new generative AI-powered devices to customers in Europe and Africa.

Vodafone said that its 5G network in Europe would make it easier for more people to use Google’s Pixel devices that are driven by AI, and the company would also keep supporting the Android ecosystem.

Apple and other tech companies around the world are trying to get people to upgrade their phones with new generative AI features. Google and Samsung are both putting out a set of AI-powered visual, text, and voice features.

It was said that by 2025, Vodafone will give Google One AI Premium subscription plans in some countries. These plans will include Gemini Advanced.

As part of the new relationship, Vodafone will also use Google Cloud’s AI platform that is ready for businesses. OpenAI, a company backed by Microsoft and NVIDIA, is in a race with Google to learn AI.
