Opera’s AI assistant Now summarize the web pages on Android devices

Read Time:1 Minute, 6 Second

Opera’s in-browser AI tool can now summarise text-based web pages on Android. The web page summarising tool uses AI to quickly boil down news stories, blog posts, or research papers into a summary that can usually fit on one screen.

On Monday, the announcement of the new feature helped people quickly understand a subject and find the most important information. When you’re on a text-based web page, open the Opera Android browser and tap the three dots in the top-right corner. Then, tap the “Summarise” option next to the Aria icon. After that, Aria will appear in a chat and include the summary you requested.

Make sure you have the most recent version of Opera for Android, and either log in to your existing account or create a new one.

Aria came out last year and works the same way as any other AI search companion. The assistant can answer questions instead of searching the web for them through a chatbot-like interface.

Since Aria first came out, Opera has been adding to it and making it more useful through its AI Feature Drops Programme, which lets users get early access to new AI features. Opera recently added the ability to create images using Imagen2, from Google to Aria. The answer can also be read out loud.
