OpenAI Unveils ChatGPT Gov for U.S. Agencies, Backed by Microsoft
OpenAI has released ChatGPT Gov for U.S. government agencies, with support from Microsoft. It’s hosted on Azure and provides advanced AI tools for businesses, including custom GPTs.
OpenAI, supported by Microsoft, has launched ChatGPT Gov. U.S. government agencies are the target audience for this version of OpenAI’s AI tool.
A blog post on Tuesday stated that ChatGPT Gov will be available on the Microsoft Azure commercial cloud and have features like those found in ChatGPT Enterprise, including custom GPTs.
The launch comes after OpenAI CEO Sam Altman mentioned on X that they plan to speed up some releases. His statement comes after the Chinese AI startup DeepSeek shook up the AI market by getting more downloads than ChatGPT in the App Store with its free AI assistant.
DeepSeek’s arrival has increased competition in the AI industry, leading U.S. tech investors to closely examine the billions spent on AI growth. In his public statements, Altman called DeepSeek a “new competitor.”
