OpenAI Plans Super Bowl Ad Debut After Google’s AI Ad Last Year

OpenAI might show its first ad during the Super Bowl after Google ran an AI-focused ad last year. The event is a great place for unique and effective commercials.

The Super Bowl attracts a huge worldwide audience and is a popular place for advertisers. Many are willing to spend much money showing their products during the event. The event is known for its very creative and attention-grabbing commercials.

If approved, this would be OpenAI’s first experience with commercial advertising, according to the report. Last year, Google highlighted its AI features during a campaign for the Super Bowl.

As stated by Zoe Ruderman, Adweek’s Chief Content Officer, the price for a 30-second ad during the 2025 Super Bowl has risen to $8 million. This is an increase from the $7 million cost for a similar ad on CBS during the 2024 Super Bowl.
