OpenAI Empowers Users with New Academy for Enhanced AI Accessibility
OpenAI starts a global academy to support AI-driven projects, invest in local talent, and make technology easier to obtain by providing training, funding, and resources for long-term growth.
OpenAI said that the academy will focus on investing in local talent worldwide by offering training support from its community of experts and starting projects to work together with “a global network of developers.”
OpenAI also said it plans to work with donors to give money to “organizations solving problems at the front lines of their communities” through contests and incubator projects. It also plans to make its models easier for more people to use by giving away $1 million in API credits.
“Access to advanced training and technical resources remains limited in many countries,” the company said. The tech industries in these countries are growing quickly, and they have a lot of talented developers and creative companies.
The company said the academy would “fuel economic growth and innovation across sectors like healthcare, agriculture, education, and finance.”
OpenAI Expands Accessibility with MMLU
OpenAI accelerated its plan to make technology accessible to everyone by releasing its Massive Multitask Language Understanding (MMLU) benchmark report in 14 languages.
OpenAI wrote that helping people who know about their communities’ specific cultures, economies, and social dynamics will help ensure that AI applications are made to fit the needs of those communities. The company said that the academy was an extension of its “long-standing support for AI developers and organizations working on the front lines.” They marketed the move as a way to help with sustainable development.
