Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal Foresees Massive Job Growth in India Due to AI
CEO of Ola Bhavish Aggarwal thinks that AI could make India a global hub for AI. This would create ten times as many jobs by increasing productivity and automating routine chores, though some job roles may change or disappear.
Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola, thinks that India could become the world’s centre for artificial intelligence. The CEO of Ola talked to ANI about the power of AI, how it can change India’s place in the world, and how it will affect the job market.
Aggarwal said, “There are tens of millions of young people and people who work in IT services in India.” They are working today for companies all over the world. They can get 10 times more done at work. That means you shouldn’t take jobs that pay a tenth. That means India can get 10 times as many jobs.
He said that AI could help people be more productive because it could automate many boring chores. Because of this, it will likely change a lot of jobs.
He said, “It’s hard to put a number on it, but I would say AI will both create and take away jobs.” Besides that, he said that AI will mostly change white-collar jobs over the next five years, but not many blue-collar jobs. This is because AI is only found in computers right now, not in robots that do chores.
He said that some jobs would be lost and that work would get done faster. To put it simply, I believe AI will create many new types of jobs in the future. India needs to build half of those jobs. There are too few jobs in India right now. So we need to, and the only way to do that is to accept AI. We can make the world a better place by being the first to adopt AI. This will make our economy grow faster and create AI jobs in India for everyone.
