Nvidia’s Project Digits: Desk-Sized AI Supercomputer Powered by GB10
Nvidia shows off Project Digits, a personal AI supercomputer that will be available in May and powered by the GB10 Grace Blackwell superchip. It’s small, fits on a desk, and is easy to power.
At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the chip manufacturer Nvidia announced the release of Project Digits, a personal AI supercomputer, in May.
Digits is a brand-new GB10 Grace Blackwell superchip that has a lot of processing power to run AI programs. Besides that, it fits on a desk and can be powered by a regular power cord.
This desktop-sized computer can run AI programs with up to 200 billion parameters. It costs 3,000 dollars to begin with. In a press release, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said that AI will be at the heart of every application in every industry. This Grace Blackwell Superchip will be owned by a large number of developers.
He also said that every scientist, AI researcher, and student should have an AI supercomputer on their desk so that they can learn how to use AI in new ways.
