Miso Enhances Kitchen Automation with NVIDIA AI and Isaac Robotics Technology

Miso Robotics uses NVIDIA AI to make its next-generation Flippy Fry Station faster and more accurate.

NVIDIA’s advanced computing and robotics inventions will be integrated into Miso Robotics’ latest model of Flippy Fry Station. Miso Robotics is a reputed company in cooking automation using AI. The aim of establishing this kind of cooperation is to provide more effective, speedy, and precise industrial kitchens. For the foodservice industry, this will be a giant stride.

The faster Flippy Fry Station, which is driven by NVIDIA’s accelerated computing, is being put into restaurants this month. Using both Miso’s AI and NVIDIA’s robotics technology, the next-generation Flippy is made to fit in with current kitchen setups and work faster and more reliably.

Two primary systems work behind Flippy for its improved performance; the vision system and the motion system, both of which employ NVIDIA’s GPU-accelerated technology. These upgrades make Flippy able to locate, grasp, and cook meals more effectively thereby increasing efficiency while reducing wastage, and shortening cycle time. By using NVIDIA Isaac Manipulator workflow along with cuMotion, a CUDA accelerated library, it takes Flippy’s motion planning to a new level and the motion that the robot achieves is faster and smoother than most traditional kitchen systems.

Addressing Industry Challenges with AI

Miso’s Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Bachir Kharraja, said, “Working with NVIDIA’s robotics platform lets us add cutting-edge AI and motion planning to our kitchen solutions.” “This collaboration helps set a new standard in food service automation by addressing critical challenges faced by operators, such as accuracy, speed, and consistency.”

NVIDIA’s cutting-edge AI powers the Flippy Fry Station, which is already being installed and is a huge step forward in kitchen automation. The newest idea from Miso Robotics is meant to change how business kitchens work, which will have real benefits for the food service industry.
