Microsoft Launches AI ‘Classwork’ Tool in Teams to Help Teachers Globally

Microsoft has introduced a new AI-powered “Classwork” feature to Teams for Education. This will help teachers around the world with their assignments and teamwork.

Every month, Microsoft posts a new update about the new features and improvements it has made for its many education customers. A new feature called “Classwork” is being rolled out around the world for Team for Education today. This feature uses AI.

Classwork is a Teams for Education app that teachers can use to make assignments, files, links, and more for their students. Microsoft Education talked about the new AI feature for Classwork in its monthly blog post today.

Last month, Microsoft added a new AI feature to the Classwork Teams for Education app. This month, they also added a new Teams Assignments integration for Learning Management Systems.

Teachers will be able to save time on some tasks, among other things. Teams Assignments for LMS can, for instance, grade quizzes that teachers make with Microsoft Forms. You can now create assignments using Microsoft Whiteboard, MakeCode, and Flip videos.

Finally, a new feature named Speaker Progress will begin to roll out later in October. This will help students get better at public speaking.

Microsoft Adds Screen Recording and PowerPoint

Microsoft says this new update will make it possible to use screen recording and PowerPoint in Speaker Progress. These kids can record their speeches so that their teachers can watch them later.

Students will be able to use PowerPoint for their public speaking events and get notifications from Speaker Coach at the same time, thanks to the new feature.

Microsoft also said that Speaker Coach will support Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Polish, Norwegian, Swedish, Dutch, and Finnish later in 2024. Right now, Speaker Coach only supports English.
