Meta Unveils Tool for Users to Design Custom AI Characters

Meta Platforms releases AI Studio, a tool that lets users make and share their personalized AI chatbots. It uses the newest Luma 3.1 model.

Meta Platforms said in July that it would release a new tool called AI Studio to let people make, share, and design their own AI chatbots. Instagram creators will be able to use the AI characters “as an extension of themselves” to handle common direct messages and story replies, Meta said. The AI Studio will let users make their customized AI characters.

Many sites owned by the social media giant let users share their AI characters. Meta put out Llama 3.1 last week, which is the newest version of its mostly free AI models. It helps us make the new tool. You can get Llama 3.1 in several languages, and its performance is on par with paid models from companies like OpenAI.

Make ChatGPT Reuters reported earlier in July that OpenAI is working on a project code-named “Strawberry.” Even within OpenAI, the details of this project remain highly confidential. This is because the startup is in a race to show that the models it offers can provide advanced reasoning abilities.
