Meta Introduces Home Screen Widget for WhatsApp AI Chat Access

Meta has added a widget to WhatsApp beta version 2.25.1.27 for Android, enabling users to chat with Meta AI directly from their home screen for quick access without opening WhatsApp.  

WaBetaInfo reports that the newest WhatsApp beta version 2.25.1.27 for Android includes this feature. The main goal of this new feature is to make it simple to access Meta AI without having to open WhatsApp. Once the widget is ready, users can start conversations with Meta AI straight from their home screens without needing to use WhatsApp.

The widget will let users easily take and share photos with Meta AI, allowing them to edit pictures or analyze content right from the widget.

We are currently developing this feature and anticipate making it available to users within the next few weeks. This update aims to make it easier for Meta AI users to access the app by reducing the number of steps needed.

Customize AI Chatbots

Simultaneously, Meta’s messaging app is developing a feature that will enable users to create and customize their own AI chatbots within the app.

This feature will let users create AI friends by choosing their personalities, goals, and tasks. The AI will adjust its behavior based on what the user describes, helping with tasks like motivation and management. There is no official schedule for this feature, but it should be ready soon.
