Meta-Inspired AI Glasses Can Instantly Find Strangers’ Names, Addresses

Harvard students show how Mark Zuckerberg’s creepy Meta-AI glasses can be used to find out the names and addresses of strangers right away.

Two Harvard students were inspired by Meta’s smart glasses and made a strange pair of AI-powered glasses that can easily invade someone’s privacy without them knowing.

This gadget, called “I-XRAY,” uses AI and software for facial recognition to quickly figure out who people are.

The kids showed off an amazing video that showed how powerful the glasses were. The video showed that the glasses quickly told the wearer the names and personal information of people they saw who were not related to them. Some of these personal details were the person’s home location, work history, and even the names of their parents.

Someone is watching the stream for people’s faces so that it can match the face to pictures that are freely available on the internet.

The AI then gets information about the person, such as their name, job, and other information. People who get the results are taken to a different app that the students made.

Anh Phu Nguyen and Caine Ardayfio, two engineers at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, made the glasses.

The engineers said in a document that described the technology, “We did not make this tool to be abused, and we are not releasing it.”Our objective is to present the current capabilities of public libraries, smart glasses, face search engines, and big language models.

Nguyen shared a video of the technology on X and asked, “Are we ready for a world where our data is exposed at a glance?”

Based on the video, the students combined a number of existing technologies to create AI glasses that can tell you personal information about anyone just by looking at them.

With just a person’s name, I-XRAY has been using FastPeopleSearch, an online tool that uses public records and social media profiles to find out detailed information about that person, such as their home address, phone number, age, and family members.
