Meta Empowers Users to Craft Unique AI Characters
Meta Platforms introduced AI Studio, a tool for creating custom AI chatbots that users can share across its platforms, based on the recently released Llama 3.1 model.
Meta Platforms said on Monday that it would be releasing a new tool called AI Studio. This tool will let users make, share, and design their own AI chatbots.
Instagram creators will be able to use the AI characters “as an extension of themselves” to handle common direct messages and story replies, Meta said. The AI Studio will let users make their customized AI characters.
People can share their AI characters on many of the social media giant’s sites.
Last week, Meta released Llama 3.1, the latest version of its mostly free AI models. We use it to build the new tool. Llama 3.1 is available in multiple languages and has performance metrics that are on par with paid models from competitors like OpenAI.
Although OpenAI, the company that makes ChatGPT, is working on a project codenamed “Strawberry,” not even OpenAI employees know much about it.
This is because the startup is under a lot of pressure to show that the models it offers can do advanced reasoning, as Reuters reported earlier in July.
