Google Launches 2 New Chromebooks with Advanced AI Features for 2024

Google releases two new Chromebooks that have advanced AI features that are meant to make people more productive.

Google has released two new Chromebooks: the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Plus and the Lenovo Chromebook Duet 11. Both of them have AI-powered features that are meant to make people more productive.

Google is always working to make daily tech smarter and easier to use by adding advanced AI tools. These devices are part of that effort. These Chromebooks, which start at $350, have Google’s Gemini model and come with tools like Live Translate and Help Me Read.

It costs $699 to buy the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Plus. It is made for people who need a gadget that is small, light, and easy to carry. This Chromebook is one of the smallest and lightest on the market. It only weighs 2.58 pounds and is less than half an inch thick. It has an Intel Core i3 100U (Raptor Lake-R) processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage, which is more than enough power for everyday tasks and processing.

The Chromebook comes with a 15.6-inch OLED screen that makes images clear and bright for work, play, or casual reading. The battery can last up to 13 hours, so people can work or move all day without having to charge it.

The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Plus has a special button called the “Quick Insert key” that lets you get to important tools quickly. This includes quick ways to get help with writing, add emojis or GIFs, and add links without having to switch apps. At the moment, this key only works on the Samsung model. Next year, it will be added to all Chromebooks.

Because it has a built-in hinge, the Lenovo Chromebook Duet 11, which starts at $339, can be used as either a laptop or a tablet. The screen is 10.95 inches and is WUXGA. It is powered by a MediaTek Kompanio 838 engine. The Chromebook has up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, so it works pretty well for everyday jobs like browsing the web, streaming, and editing documents.

The Duet 11 also has a 5MP front camera and an 8MP camera on the back. You can use these cameras for taking pictures or video calls. It also works with the Lenovo USI Pen 2 (sold separately), which lets you take exact notes and draw pictures.

All Chromebook Plus types now have a number of new AI tools that Google has added. The “Help Me Read” tool summarizes PDFs, articles, and websites, and users can highlight parts to better understand them. Live Translate lets you translate information in real time between more than 100 languages, which makes it easier to talk to people who speak different languages. The Recorder app transcribes audio and makes summaries of recordings. AI-powered improvements to video calls include simulating a studio microphone and making changes to your look to improve sound and lighting. Over the course of October, these features will be added through regular updates.
