Google CEO Sundar Pichai Reveals Gemini App Changes to Enhance AI Growth
Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, announces changes to the Gemini app’s structure that will speed up AI development, make feedback better, and make deployment easier.
“AI moves faster than any technology before it,” Google CEO Sundar Pichai wrote in a staff blog. This means that Google is streamlining its structures. “As we’ve been moving forward, we’ve been changing our structures to speed things up.”
He said that getting the teams closer together “will improve feedback loops” and make it faster to “deploy our new models in the Gemini app.”
Sissie Hsiao, VP and GM of Gemini Experiences and Google Assistant, will report to Demis Hassabis, who is the CEO of Google DeepMind.
Also, Google said that Prabhakar Raghavan, who has been in charge of the company’s search engine, research, workspace, and advertising products for the past 12 years, will become CTO and work closely with Pichai.
Nick Fox, a leader for Raghavan, will be in charge of the People and Knowledge team. Pichai said Fox had been crucial in forming Google’s AI product roadmap over the past few years.
