Bumble users can now report AI-generated photos

Bumble has added a new feature that allows users to report profiles suspected of using AI-generated photos and videos to improve safety and authenticity on the dating app.

Bumble wants its users to help keep the dating app free of profiles made by computers. On Tuesday, the company added a new reporting feature that allows members to report profiles if they believe someone is using photos and videos created by AI.

For users who want to report a profile, they can now pick “Fake profile” and then “Using AI-generated photos or videos.” You can also report inappropriate content, users who are too young to use the site, scams, and the use of someone else’s photos.

Unfortunately, people often use AI-generated photos on dating apps to scam or trick others. Bumble’s new reporting feature comes at a negative time.

You can trick men into thinking you own a yacht and have six-pack abs with the click of a button. Bumble hopes that the new reporting feature will make people less likely to lie about AI.

Risa Stein, Bumble’s vice president of product, said in a statement, “Getting rid of anything misleading or dangerous is an important part of making a space to make meaningful connections.” ” We constantly improve our technology to make Bumble a safe and reliable place to date.”

By giving people a new way to report fake profiles and malicious actors dishonestly using AI, we can make our community feel more comfortable making connections.

Bumble’s New AI Tools

The new reporting option comes after Bumble released an AI tool called “Deception Detector.” This tool uses AI and human moderation to find and get rid of fake profiles, spammers, and scammers.

Bumble says that since the feature went live in February, member reports of spam, scams, and fake profiles have gone down by 45%. There is also a “Private Detector” tool on Bumble that uses AI to blur naked photos automatically.

Bumble is fighting AI-made profiles, but the company’s founder, Whitney Wolfe Herd, has some great tech plans.

Herd said in an interview that AI “dating concierges” or assistants could go on hundreds of dates for you to find the perfect match. This could be the future of online dating. We don’t know how many people will agree with that, but each has their own
