Apple’s developer academies are expanding AI education around the world. These academies offer courses on how to make, train, and use machine learning models on Apple devices. The goal is to give students more power by providing new tools and Swift 6 improvements.
Apple is still promoting AI, this time through its education app. Apple announced on Tuesday that it will teach the basics of AI to all of its Apple Developer Academy students and mentors. Training is open to Apple Developer Academy alumni.
Beginning in the fall, students will learn how to create, train, and use machine-learning models on Apple devices.
According to Apple, the courses will cover the basics of AI technologies and frameworks, Core ML, how it can run quickly on Apple devices, and how to create and train AI models from scratch.
It has 18 developer academies, and it is in the US, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, and Brazil.
Thousands of students and graduates will learn the new curriculum.
Apple Enhances Student App Development with Swift Assist in Xcode 16
With the release of new technologies and APIs at WWDC last week, Apple claims that students will have more tools to make apps.
A new feature in Xcode 16 called Swift Assist will help developers with all of their work and give students a chance to try out new ideas.
Apple also says that Swift 6 has new features that will make code clearer and make concurrent programming easier.
In a press release, Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, said, “We’re excited to see what students will build to share with their communities and the world.”
The new curriculum will focus on AI and other new technologies.
