Finalizing Terms for ChatGPT Integration in iOS18

Reports say that talks between the two groups are almost over. They want to agree on terms for adding ChatGPT features to iOS 18, which is the next operating system for iPhones.

Apple and Google, which is part of Alphabet Inc., have also talked about getting permission to use Google’s Gemini chatbot. The talks are still going on, but there is still no deal.

If Apple and OpenAI can agree on something, Apple will be able to add a well-known chatbot to its products. Soon, a lot of new AI features will be shown off. This is one of them. Bloomberg said in April that talks with OpenAI got more serious, but it’s still not clear when a deal could be made.

Apple’s AI Ambitions Unveiled

During its annual Worldwide Developers Conference in June, Apple plans to talk about its plans in the area of artificial intelligence. News agency Bloomberg reported that the company plans to use data centres with its own processors to run new AI features as part of this project.

When asked about it, Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, has said that “a number of issues that need to be sorted.” He promised that new AI features would come to Apple’s products on a “very thoughtful basis.”

During a recent earnings call, Cook stressed that “We believe in the transformative power and promise of AI, and we believe we have advantages that will differentiate us in this new era, including Apple’s unique combination of seamless hardware, software and services integration,”
