Actor Morgan Freeman speaks out about being targeted by AI

Read Time:1 Minute, 5 Second

Morgan Freeman thanks his fans for letting more people know that AI is imitating his voice, which shows how important it is to be real and protect your identity in the digital world.

Morgan Freeman is grateful that his fans brought attention to AIs that seem to copy his voice. He made a note on his social media. The 87-year-old actor is known for his speaking skills in films like March of the Penguins, The Shawshank Redemption, and Million Dollar Baby.

His note follows the use of Morgan’s voice in an AI-created video featuring a TikTok series by a woman posing as his niece.

“Thank you to all of my amazing fans for being alert and helping to stop the illegal use of an AI voice that sounds like me.” Your hard work helps make sure that honesty and authenticity remain top priorities. Thankful. He wrote, “Ideals in #identityprotection  #AI #scam #imitation.”

Scarlett Johansson Criticizes AI Company

It’s not the first time this has happened to an actor. Just last month, Scarlett Johansson criticized an AI company for trying to “loan” her voice.

After Scarlett declined the job offer, people said she “could bridge the gap between tech companies and creatives and help consumers feel comfortable with the seismic shift concerning humans and AI”.
